At a special Congregational meeting held Sunday, October 17th, those present voted to begin a program of improvement of our facilities in order to better serve our community and to continue to expand our programs. The main areas of the improvements are:
- Construction (and relocation) of a visible and suitable welcoming office complex, which would accommodate the office and administrative spaces of both the Church and the Educational programs (separately).
- The addition of a Multi Purpose facility, to accommodate our Contemporary worship services, Congregational activities & meetings, Performing Arts and Construction (and relocation) of a suitable and visibly welcoming office complex, Musical programs, and a useable indoor school facility.
- Increase the size of the Pre School facility, in order to accommodate the continuing demand for our program.
Infrastructure improvements to the remaining facilities, such as parking area, school building, and church assembly area
Included with the positive vote was the establishment of a fund for the first phase of the program in the amount of, at least, $40,000.00. This amount would allow us to begin site development work and organize the build out in the most efficient and prudent manner.
The Church Council, at its October 19th meeting, established a separate savings account with the Church Extension Fund (CEF) to hold all moneys earmarked for this great program.
