Lahu Shi Ministry

Kom See, Lahu Shi Lay Pastor
"Lahu" is the name of one of the groups originally located in China, who over the last 100 years gradually migrated to Laos, Cambodia and Thailand in Southeast Asia. Lahu people came to the United States in the early 1980's. Because they assisted in the Vietnam War, they were granted special non-citizen immigration. The Lahu people recognize several groups within their culture. "Lahu Shi" is the most prominent group located in Visalia. We are fortunate to have an active group of Lahu people in membership at Grace Lutheran Church. Their worship service is conducted in their native language and features a praise band.
